"all warfare is based on deception"

I am reading Sun Tzu's Art of War. You can read it online here. I seriously wish to quote the whole thing, but I'll just quote this:

If you know the enemy
and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a
hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy,
for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.
If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will
succumb in every battle.

I don't think Dubya has read the art of war.

It's interesting--I have read it, but in the context of business (in the Silicon Valley, nearly every exec has read this book in the footsteps of Larry Ellison CEO of Oracle). But never in the context of actually analyzing literal warfare or in personal life.

You have brought me back full circle with this mention!
