unfortunately it takes time--texas was magical in that i found you before school started, but some places, it just takes time. it took me 2 years in the bay area before i made any new friends (though i'm sure ann arbor is friendlier than that).
and i bet you'll find a rockslinga-worthy date soon. i just bet.
